Lathe machine sizes and specifications

Lathe machines are widely used in workshops with desired sizes. The term swing denotes maximum diameter of the work and which can be accommodated on the lathe.

It will be observed that the swing is specified in the gap over the carriage and over the bed.

The measurements are helpful for indicate the maximum diameter of the work and which can be safely accommodated over these positions during the operations.
